The B2B Riverwalk Fundraising Committtee, headed by Mary Laing, are working hard to raise money to fund the community project. The Fundraising events aim to raise awareness and well as raise dollars, and create activities for the community to be part of.
The success of the project fundraising depends on the community, including the many visitors that frequently stay in Camden Haven. Being involved in the fundraising can be as easy as buying a sausage, buying a t-shirt, volunteering to assist at the fundraiser, or attending a fundraising event.
All profits from the fundraisers go directly to the Beach to Beach Riverwalk Project, so you can be happy in the knowledge that your dollar will make a direct impact on the completion of the Riverwalk.
Mary and her team of volunteers are also working very hard applying for Grants. We have already been successful in obtaining tens of thousands of dollars which have already been allocated to sections of the project (see CURRENT PROJECTS page).
T-shirts and Polos are available for purchase at most B2B Fundraising Events. You an also purchase them from the Dunbogan Boatshed 7 days a week.
Already over $4000 has been raised through the sale of T-shirts and Polos. Throughout the community the t-shirts are frequently being worn, advertising the project and showing a united support for B2B.
Polo sizes are very generous, so for those with “a Lot to Love” the 2XL and 3XL are extremely well sized. There is something to fit almost every adult and teenager. Purchase one for yourself and remember they make a lovely gift!
With the initial success of the first Fundraising BBQ, in April 2014, at the Dunbogan Boatshed, the Fundraising team were keen to continue them on a regular basis. The Dunbogan Boatshed has kindly offered their premises for future BBQ’s, so you will see regular BBQ’s there, as well as throughout the region.
BBQ dates and times will be posted on the Facebook Page and emailed out with the B2B Newsletters (email Andrew on firstname.lastname@example.org to be on the Newsletter mailing list – approx. every 2 to 3 months).
VOLUNTEERS are always appreciated so if you are great at turning a sausage or cooking the perfect egg and bacon sandwiches Mary would love to hear from you – email Mary on email@example.com with your details.
River Cruises, Garage Sales, Sunset Dinners, High Tea and Fashion Parades are just a few of the Fundraising Events that have been or are scheduled to help raise the money needed to complete the project.
Events will be advertised locally, via the B2B Facebook Page, via the B2B Newletter, on Posters throughout the town, and in some cases in the Camden Haven Courier. So keep your eyes posted for new Events so that you can join us in these great activities.
If you are interested in running an event, have a great fundraising idea, or want to be a volunteer at an event, Mary and the Volunteer Committee would love to hear from you – email Mary on firstname.lastname@example.org with your details.
There has been overwhelming support for the Beach to Beach with over 70 people volunteering there time within the different subgroups within the project teams. But spare time is not always available to all of us. Instead, many people have asked if they are able to directly donate to the Project. The answer is YES, donations are warmly welcomed and strongly appreciated.
You can make a direct donation at any of Fundraising Events or by contacting Andrew or Mary directly or via email email@example.com.
